The Conference of Arabs and Kurds: Interests, Concerns and Participations, organised by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, for the period 29th of April till 1th of May, 2017, over three days.
It is worth mentioning that, two lecturers from the department of history, University of Zakho (Assist. Prof. Dr. Huger Taher Tawfiq, head of the Department of History and Assist. Prof. Dr. Shirzad Zakaria Mohammed Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and a lecturer in the Department of History) participated in the conference.
At the first day of the conference 29/4/2017 at 9:00 am Dr. Huger Taher Tawfiq give a seminar which was entitled "Kurdish - Arab relations (1891-1918): A historical study". At 11:30 Dr. Shirzad Zakaria Mohammed Omar give a seminar which was entitled "Initiatives of the Iraqi region to resolve the Kurdish issue, a historical study in the statement of 29th of June, 1966).
